Homemade: Vegan Butter

This Raw Vegan "Butter" recipe by The Raw Vegenista is so delectable. Use in place of ordinary, dairy derived butter. Tastes just as good, but way healthier.


*Organic Coconut Oil: refined versus unrefined. A health conscious rule of thumb is to always opt for unrefined products. In this case, unrefined coconut oil is the most natural and purest choice. On the other hand, refined coconut oil eliminates that coconutty taste for those that prefer a more neutral flavor. 


Ingredients:
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • A dash of Celtic sea salt
  •  1 cup organic coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

The exact measurements vary to taste, while the turmeric is primarily for color.

NOTE: Coconut oil must be in liquid form prior to mixing.

Then, it's just as easy as blending all of the ingredients together; allow for an even consistency. Pour the mixture into a cold glass container to allow the butter to congeal in order to prevent separation. Place and store in the fridge.
