  • DIY: Knife Pleat Skirt

Lately I've been obsessing over pleating and ruffles so I made a mint knife pleated skirt with pockets!

A month ago I bought a yard of this lovely fabric, which was just enough to make this dreamy pleated skirt. There wasn't enough fabric to make a proper yolk waistband so I settled for a traditional straight waistband instead.  The fabric, by itself, is pretty translucent so I added a matching mint lining. Essentially, I did not follow a pattern but did reference this Knife Pleat tutorial via BurdaStyle as a guide. Aside from all that, the most invaluable feature is, of course, the pockets ;)

By the way the lining under gives it a very dreamy touch. It's beautiful.<33
